Solstice sunrise, 2022

by mcrtchly

We were treated to an incredible dawn on the longest day, at Lanyon Quoit, Cornwall. We arrived about an hour before sunrise and watched the mist billowing over the moors shimmering in the ethereal light of a half moon. Venus glowed strongly in the sky as the pyrotechnics of dawn radiated across the eastern horizon, and a riotous dawn chorus serenaded the most glorious sunrise in this sacred, ancient place
