The Aphid Family

The Aphid Family

Photo Information
I love my garden, I love the fact that there is wildlife everywhere. Unfortunately I only have sparrows on the feeders as my cat seems to want to feast on any feathered friend that is stoopid enough to do a fly by.

So I look to the bushes instead, wow the amazing things I find in there!
Here's one fine example.

Lens: Sigma EX 105mm Macro
Added a small amount of fill-in flash as it was in the middle of the bush

This is a good photo thats spoilt by the top aphids not in focus. At f/22 it should all have been in focus as you were using pattern/matrix,can't see why!!

Quite a lot of activity for one leaf and very well captured indeed, your Sigma EX 105mm Macro lens seems quite impressive.
Not everything in life is Black & White, If only it were!

All the sharpness seems to be left, and bottom left of centre,f22 should have given a better depth of field, nevertheless a good effort.

I actually quite like this photo. Those bristles like structures on the side of the leaf on the left which are well defined and the vibrant green colour of the leaf really stand out.

And then the two little brownish aphids and the two green on the bottom part of the leaf really attract my attention.

The fact that there is noise on the dark background doesn't really affect me the way I look at this image. In fact if I hadn't read a comment about the noise I wouldn't even have noticed it due to the image absorbing my attention in the centre with the leaf's vibrant green colour.

Thanks Rees & Amin

This shot is alot different than any of my other shots in the fact that I have done nothing to it apart from cropping and writing on it.
If there is noise on any of my images then I usually get rid of it, but this is a real case of "what you see is what you get"

In this case, I'm not bothered about a small bit of noise, and it is a tad blurred because it was windy that day.
