Technically excellent photograph. The background induces an image of stylus cut and architecture. The soft focus of the head/cartridge belies the the true ability of this MI cartridge. All of my kit is MM so real first hand experience at hand.

Great image with genuine technical depth and content. Its a visual story book. Well photographed.

All of my kit is MM so "no" real first hand experience at hand.

I still have issues using a tablet rather than a keyboard.

It was a real pleasure reading your 'unpacking' of the photo's content and your associations. Appreciated!

My listening experience is limited to a Goldring 2500, a Goldring 1042, an Ortofon black and a Grado Opus.

Unexpectedly, the sonic differences weren't that different. In my setup, different RIIAS - previously a Sugden, currently a Leben - have made a bigger difference.

What's your current setup?

I'll try and do a Pentax K1, *istD and perhaps Nikon D3 photo of the same motif in a couple of days.

Whatever did I do with my GL57? Goldring had a crummy little factory in Leytonstone, London when I lived in the UK. Nevertheless, the products were pretty impressive! Excellent shot!
