Agree. B&W quality is very good, as is composition. Can you please give some info on the camera you used.

Panasonic Lumix LX7 go4IT. a compact digital 10mp sensor raw
it was released in 2014 with a Leica lens with a range of 24mm to 90mm in full frame terms if i remember correctly.
i paid 345 euro new but excellent examples can be had for sub 200 euros these days.
Same camera essentially as the Leica d lux tip 109 of the same period.
It was after 5pm and bitter cold that very dark and overcast day in late march and was at f 1.4 and i hope that came across on the edit, which i did not want to brighten up much.
i know its a pentax forum but i still have it as it is a great performer and pocketable.
Anything in close to medium range is where it shines.

I would also like to add my condolences to the Henry de Bromhead family with the tragic loss of their 13 year old son on Saturday in a pony racing accident on a co kerry beach Ireland.
Henry de Bromhead is a champion Cheltenham gold cup winning Horse racing trainer and much more besides.
Rest in peace.

Flan: That is some camera, especially for street shooting. And never my the relatively poor resolution that 10MP provides---that Leica gives you more than respectable sharpness.

I used a TZ7 for quite a time which I enjoyed until I realised that the phone was also doing a good job! Love this photo by the way!
