Pas de Calais reminds me of One of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen...."Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis"....A nice picture and I Imagine beautiful colors and places to visit too. I' Ve never been there buy that movie brought me back when many ya ago I was used to spend a few holiday weeks in Nice at my aunt's home. The contrast described between north and south was strong but very difficult to understand for me due to my poor knowledge on northern France....but that movie well described opinions of my relatives living in southern France. Sorry for my not photographic comment.

Yes Giulio, "Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis" expresses well the sometimes negative opinion of French people from the south of the "Northern" region of France.
Pierre bachelet sang:
"The people of the north have the sun in their hearts that they do not have outside"
And it's true, having stayed there a few times I can tell you that the welcome of the people and their kindness erases the grayness sometimes present !
The north of France is home to many famous tourist sites and sumptuous landscapes, both on the coast and in the interior of the country.
On the other hand, your comment alone is a nice compliment for my photo which has awakened beautiful memories in you.

Et c' est bien vrai, pour y avoir séjourné quelques fois je peux vous dire que l' accueil  des gens et leur gentillesse efface la grisaille parfois présente !
Le nord de la France recèle de nombreux sites touristiques réputés et des paysages somptueux, aussi bien sur la côte qu' à l' intérieur du pays.
D' autre part votre commentaire à lui seul est un beau compliment pour ma photo qui a su réveiller en vous de beaux souvenir.
