Painted lady butterfly on purple toadflax.
There seem to be a lot of these about this year even if the constant rain earlier looks to have destroyed much of the other species' early broods. I trust I'm not the only one who isn't finding many butterflies this year?

Lovely shot, I agree David, there were a few Brimstones and Orange Tips in Spring, but very little else at the moment. I did see a lot of Meadow Browns when on a walk last week though.
