Very nice lighting and clarity. What lens were you using?

Thank you for your comment, only had this lens in my hands for a few days and just amazed at the clarity - its the Pentax DA 12-24mm lens! Having no filters, I did meter on the foreground and filter the sky in CS6 - don't know if that is the right way to do it...? but seems to work ok...?
Best wishes

Carl

Thanks for the lens info Carl. The review I've seen of the 12-24 lens was very good and your shot certainly reinforces that. Look forward to seeing many more pictures taken with it!

An excellent shot Carl. The K5 and its offspring have great dynamic range allowing the use of NDs being added at a later stage on the PC. I tend to us LR5 for my sky mods!
The lens has recorded this just great - minimal flare - and as above great clarity!

Thanks Andy, must have a look at lightroom, but yes this lens definitely has some clarity - certainly feel fortunate to now own this lens. Looking forward to pushing the lens some more and maybe once I can afford it introducing some grads!!
