That was a difficult one. I'm presuming it was manual focus (?) with all those elements competing for the focal plane.

Yes it was a manual - film camera - scanned with my Nikon Coolscan V.

Got to say I kind of like the 'mess' - being slightly out of focus gives it almost an etheral, very light look. Sometimes I think we are way too obsessed with sharpness. It has it's place, but so does softness at times.
