Colouration and composition are only two of the things I like. Also like sharpness (with 2X extender! yet) and bokeh.

Looks like a Dad in moult... had a hard breeding season!! Poor lad....
Juveniles look like females until November at the earliest....
a lot of finches have had triple broods this year.... this is the result.
Lovely picture... beautifully sharp!

Thanks for your info, this one just “turned up” like it, so i thought it was a juvenile!! I had upto twenty pairs of Bully’s on my feeder last winter & this year i have pulled them in all through the year ( as last year was my first ) , so should get more this winter!
Lost three due to the conservatory windows , but i’ve fitted blinds to stop that now.
They are all my babies 💕💕💕
