colour lokks really bad compared to my pc monitor. please comment anyway and tell me what you think. i have only been a photography since dec 14th so need a confidence boost

Nice and natural colours. Good compo. Just a little bit of more contrast, IMHO....IMHO means that sometimes I do have strange ideas.

the original image looks much better but for some reason it lost it vibrancy in the upload. don't know why, thanks for your comments

I think it is a lovely portrait and I don't see anything wrong with the colour. I would tone down the highlights very slightly and bring out the shadow detail a little more so that the hair has more detail. A slight increase in contrast (not too much) as suggested above would also benefit the shot, but basically there's nothing wrong with it!

When images are uploaded to the Gallery they are compressed and they do lose some of their vibrancy and detail. This is just to ensure the file sizes are not too big. We all have to work to the same rules, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
