Thank God for the sun coming up, otherwise there would be nothing to photograph! I thought Namibia was a no-go zone for Westerners.

Desolate desert!
Namibia is fine as far as I know. All we met was very friendly helpful people.

More so as we arrived and pitched our tents after dark, it was only with the break of day that we could see this beautifully bleak place.

No indeed. A fantastic place. Totally unproblematic. Even German is still spoken and taught.
