I like this shot David. The subtle colours of a winter walk and the path leading you into the scene. I am also a fan of the Sigma DL 100-300, however mainly use it on the istD, I have only used it as a macro lens on the K70.

Yes, if you are on a tight budget, either this or the Tamron 70-300 (both with a 'sort of' macro capability) would make a good buy. I think David has proved beyond doubt by now that a fat wallet is irrelevant.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
