The piece is called The Journey and it is by Fenwick Lawson and it can be fond in St Mary's church on Holy Island. A bronze copy is in millennium square in Durham City. I met Fenwick last year and managed to get a photo of him alongside another of his works in Durham Cathedral.

Also, thanks to John aka DOIK for the information on the sculpture and artist. It was interesting to note that a further example of this particular piece is on display in a city centre. Looks like a visit to Durham is on the cards for a short break this year.
