Galatea at Oxenholme

Photo Information
Super shot by PG Weber of this loco at Ais Gill. I was also among the 'gallery' at that spot at that time. Earlier I was at Oxenholme to see Galatea roaring through. I spoke to another pentaxian there, was that you PG?

That's a fine shot of the Jubilee charging through Oxenholme. Great exhaust!

I was the cyclist in the yellow jacket who took up my position at Ais Gill fairly early (no car to keep warm in!). I was talking to a D500 owner for a while but noticed a Pentaxian on my right nearer to the wall.

That was me. I remember seeing the bike and I thought at the time that there are some very hardy people, much hardier than me, and pentaxian steam lovers to boot!!

Oxenholme is one of my favourite locations for photographing steam trains at speed. Your shot is excellent. You got this not long after I photographed Galatea leaving Carnforth.

Agree with all the comments above. I am a sucker for steam, especially shooting from above and below, as here. B&W the correct choice, I think. Like.
