Galatea at Oxenholme

Super shot by PG Weber of this loco at Ais Gill. I was also among the 'gallery' at that spot at that time. Earlier I was at Oxenholme to see Galatea roaring through. I spoke to another pentaxian there, was that you PG?

That was me. I remember seeing the bike and I thought at the time that there are some very hardy people, much hardier than me, and pentaxian steam lovers to boot!!

Oxenholme is one of my favourite locations for photographing steam trains at speed. Your shot is excellent. You got this not long after I photographed Galatea leaving Carnforth.

Agree with all the comments above. I am a sucker for steam, especially shooting from above and below, as here. B&W the correct choice, I think. Like.

Yes I have seen your superb shots at Oxenholme they are what spurred me to try that location.
