That Sinking Feeling...

by Lubbyman

There's been the stress of practicing with your musical partner, the adrenaline rush of the gig, the high of the applause, the thanks afterwards. All that's left is the tired drive home, the opening of the tailgate and that sinking feeling as you realise that yet again you've got to unload that heavy gear and stow it in the garage, behind the settee, in the spare bedroom ... . Or perhaps it can stay in the car overnight and you'll do it in the morning after a night's sleep .

One day I'll feel too old to put myself through it again. But not yet. And the gig was a charity fundraiser .
