Still blooming after all these months !

I posted a shot of our white camellia when it came into bloom last November.
As fast as the frost turns them brown more buds open, as this one seen today (20th March) - 4 months on !
There are still plenty more buds still waiting to open (see top right in this shot)

This bush is even more remarkable when you consider that it is growing in a flint packed clay soil over a chalk subsoil !
It really is a 'survivor' !

We're lucky here in Toronto if spring merely arrives, let alone allows beauties like this to survive winter. Strong botanical. Like.
