Start of the 2017-18 Round the World Clipper Race

The start was 20 August 2017 from near the Albert Dock, Liverpool. 12 identical racing yachts all with inexperienced crews on an 11 month, 40,00 mile odyssey. The yachts in the leading positions approach the start line in the picture - with little wind a few boats trail badly already. Next stop Uruguay in a month or so.
