Solitary Poppy

by LennyBloke

The poppy itself is simple and beautiful with nature gradually taking its course - the drop of the petals, the invasion of minute insects and the short life coming to an end within a day or two.
Looking beyond the simple red flower the rendering of the purples and greens is dreamy. almost painterly - the use of maximum aperture on a star series lens shows the qualities they can produce.

As usual the bigger size reveals more detail and impact

Astounding detail, 'tho I prefer the conventional format you get when going to 'full size' .
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
