Silent voice of the wilderness

Deep in an ancient wood, in Dartmoor
I have made a short film of the trip .... the first couple of minutes are however a bit noisy due to being some distance from the video camera and the rumbling hiss of the whitewater river
I thought the camera bag system looked good and well thought out. It's nice to be able to add or take away components as required.
Very interesting film, Phil and what a stunning place. Wonderful colours and textures, water, wood, leaves - a photographer's dream.

Thank you very much for your encouraging and considered feedback on the film Blaze, it is very much appreciated. It is indeed a landscape and nature photographers’ dream. On the three visits I have made to these woods since I got my permit, I have explored just a tiny part of its 124 acres, there is so much to gaze at with wonder – rare wildflowers; fungi; rare mosses and lichens; tumbling waterfalls; narrow gorges; ancient trees; bluebells in the spring...
There is something to be said for wandering these woods alone (due to the infrequent visits of the environmental curators it is easily acheiveable) to relish the atmosphere of this ancient woodland – something I reflected upon in my earlier blog post ‘Waldeinsamkeit’ (the delightful German word for ‘being alone in the woods’)
Ooh that is so beautiful!
Thank you very much Maria -it is a truly magical place
