Autumn friends
by autumnlight
Taken at Compstall Lake,Etherow country park in Cheshire, only two Swans that i came across, maybe this years young.
Taken hand held, i did try a crop but decided against it as it seemed to lose something

No crop needed. Colors reminiscent of the pre-Raphaelites. Same haunting vibe. Proves the rule of odd numbered subjects is made to be beautifully broken - Tony

Very nice natural framing and some wonderful delicate light.

Great private moment this... almost like they're returning to the flock (top centre) after some adventure or other... and the front swan's definitely saying something to the other one... beautifully framed, and gorgeous autumn feel...

I love this one - swans are special to the pair of us and these look special to each other.
I'm glad you didn't crop it as the extensive tiny ripples on the water give it an ethereal quality.
