Many thanks for your generous comments 😊 It was a wonderful moment of theatrical lighting in a sublime bit of our coast down here. I smiled like a Cheshire cat as I made that photograph.

Have been to Burgh Island area, but somehow never spotted the rock-arch! Caught the light magnificently, and portrait format works really well.

Thanks very much David 😊 The retreating tide had left the reef damp, fortuitously the specular highlights gilded many points across the reef... tiny 'punctuation marks' in the journey into the photo. Very happy to have seen that moment 😎

Many thanks indeed for your generous comments 😊 The archway can be found by visiting Thurlestone or South Milton Sands, one can walk out across a sandy channel in the reef at low tide. 😎

The quicksilver flash of reflection is the anchor in another example of your deep understanding of the light as presented to you and your lens. The light peeking through the rock depicting both the far shoreline AND the blue estuary is genius. Very sensual - t

Thanks very much indeed for your wonderfully written and generous comments 😊 It was a moment of visceral joy to see the image and make this photo... harmonious elements and anchors; dramatic transient light; transition zones. Nourishment for the soul to embrace such moments of light and shadows sweeping across a beautiful place.
