The Iconic View

by davidstorm

Been on a road trip today around the Central and Western Lake District, some stunning locations here. This one is probably 'the' iconic Lake District view, up Wasdale Valley, over Wastwater towards Great Gable etc. There was just a little bit of light peeping through the clouds onto the fells, not really enough to make a spectacular shot, but just enough to lift it slightly.

Shot with my K-3 and my favourite of all lenses for landscape, the Pentax-M 28mm F3.5

Classic, iconic or whatever, it's a lovely picture.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

This works, dont know the area at all so this is a new view for me.
I get what you're saying about the light, but you cant do much about that, Lovely shot regardless.
And yes the m 28mm f3.5 is a cracking little lens
I know what i like, If not always why.
