This is looking straight up the inside of the arch along the vertex of the triangular cross-section. You can see the weld that is continuous along the seam. Each vertex of the triangle has a similar continuous weld.

The construction of this structure is both fascinating and amazing. Consider it was built some 50 years ago with the technology available in those times. The video shown at the monument is a wonderful document that is a "must see" if you ever get to visit the Arch. However, there is a pretty good video here that will give you a very good insight into how this was built. I encourage you to take a look.
