Black Vulture

by aliengrove

A black vulture, with it's third eyelids closed, in Doha Zoo. It was in a mesh cage, so I experimented, trying to show both the bird and the cage, and I was very happy with this result, but very sad for this poor bird.

Sad photo. Is it a prisoner?

Yes it's a prisoner. I don't like zoo's much, and Doha zoo is not the best of them. This bird was in a quite small cage in a huge empty area. I wanted to show how confined the bird was, by showing the mesh.

I agree i just hope the third eyelid on a bird doesn't mean the bird is sick as it does in a cat.

Selective focus worked so well for the purpose, Jonathan. Sad, indeed!
