Third and final installment in the sparrowhawk/pigeon saga. The hawk flew onto the gate taking a breather from its meal, inadvertently moving closer to two nosy squirrels who had moved lower for a better look.

Update on 2nd Dec.

Another pigeon dead in the garden this morning with its head and legs missing. Also its chest had been partly plucked and a magpie was pecking at it. Don't think the magpie killed it so i'm on the lookout for the hawk again. We have had about 8-10 dead pigeons in our garden this past year..all look as though they have suffered the same fate.
