Apples and Nuts.

Messing about again with some old M42 manual lenses and a modern DSLR. The lens used is one i bought off e/bay for about £ 40 and is the Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm f2.4.

You got a real bargain with that lens Thomas and it's produced a lovely picture.

Great result. You might like to try a Meyer Lydith (or Pentacon 3.5/35). It's a good competitor with a Flektogon - and half the price!

Zeiss three-dimensionality - or perhaps four-dimensionality (the taste of apples reproduced so beautifully!)

Thank you Giulio, Yorkie ,MikeInDevon, rick, Flan, davidwozhere and KeldMikkelson, for your kind comments...The Flektogon 35mm lens was purchased about 5 years ago as stated on the Photo comments i made and is not in the best of condition. ( slightly loose fitting on the M42 screw adaptor) but everything works smoothly, when in use...I also have the Pentacon 30mm f3.5 as davidwozhere mentioned, in my little collection, ( mostly Takumars ) but the Rear-Lens comes back a canny distance and i am reluctant to use it on my K-1 full frame dslr in case it catches the mirror. Once again thanks everybody and to davidwozhere for his expert photographic knowledge to which i am very grateful....Tommy T.
