Gathering Storm

by iangilmour

Managed a walk up on the moors in the gale force wind and pouring rain.
Managed to capture this shot when the rain had ceased for a couple of minutes.

My favourite type of shot Ian. Beautiful composition and of course the sky is a major feature.

Very compelling. You are just waiting for the rain to lash down.

All of the above.... So dramatic, looks like a Cecil B. DeMille movie still.

Super shot. Such a strong composition and the dark skies are really moody.

Many thanks everyone for your encouraging comments. Yes it was very stormy up there.
'Even the sheep are worried', yes Steve they do look worried but it was very deceiving. As I stood there wiping my lens to photograph the tree, the sheep came running to me expecting food!
Kind regards
Ian

Lovely image, getting down to sheeps level really adds impact to this image. Great composition, lighting, great moody sky. All go together to make a great image. Well seen and taken.

A wonderful painterly image with bucolic charm alongside textures, form and narrative that work so very well together. Bravo!
