Waiting for the guard's green flag
by davidtrout
A man at work - the subject I've set for this week's Pentax Weekly Competition.
The fireman on a Super D freight loco on the East Lancashire Railway at Bury waits for the guard's flag although the signal already gives permission to start.

A marvellous shot, David. Sharp, punchy and telling its own story.
Best wishes,
Andrew

I really like this one David. As Andrew says, it has its own story. You've done well to make his dirty hands stand out against the dark side of the loco !

David -A image of his face alone would be sufficient- added to these surroundings it produced a stunning mono of man and machine at work - thanks, tony
