Limpets and barnacles

by OldTaffy

On the beach at Runswick Bay (near Whitby). Lightly cropped and processed. Still in sRGB though the general lack of colour tempts me to convert to monochrome. Is there any point in doing so? K-x with standard kit lens DAL18-55.

It's almost a mono but perhaps with a conversion you could increase the contrast between rock and shells

Good. I'd stick with the subdued colours.

The limpets and the rocks were so close in tone that I don't think one could reasonable push the contrast any more even in monochrome. I was almost clipping the histogram when I put contrast up by more than 50% in the colour JPEG. The barnacles are a bit lighter though.

Thanks for comments.
