Thanks for your comments. Yes, it is a special place and one is much aware of the dissolution these days, with so much on telly and being published about Henry VIII. The small museum is worth a visit, for some details.
I only had my 35mm 'Ltd' prime on the camera that afternoon, which posed a few problems when the view really needed a zoom or shorter focus!
