Just to show what a K-70 & 18-270 can do. Ushuiaia, Terra del Fuego.

Not easy to see here, but the the detail at 180 is extraordinary. Many reviews are not very positive. Seen as a Tokina (or something) dressed up. But makes a very good standard lens. Compact with a wide range.

Possibly. I get the names mixed up. In our times, who makes what where? It is, whatever the case, an excellent lens. I suppose this is not the right place to ask it, but there is a question always in my mind: What, exactly, is a "Pentax User"? A person who uses Pentax branded bodies and lenses only and always, or mostly, or sometimes? What counts? What is the spirit of the site? Any remarks? Is all this a problem or a non-problem. Or should I shift these remarks into the discussion pages?

I vote a non-problem. My understanding was: Pentax cameras only. Any lenses are OK.

For me, a "camera" means body and lens. What is one without the other? When one sees "Pentax User" one might suppose that all the materiel used has 'Pentax' stamped on it. On the other hand, lens makers do produce lenses with Pentax mounts. Does anyone else have an opinion, or am I throwing something into a placid pond that needs no ruffling? One can use Pentax and, therefore, be a "Pentax User", but also, occasionally, use something else. Are these 'other' photos eliminated? It is true, also, that the site does not support lens info in the EXIF Record. So I suppose go4IT is right.
