Portal of Erme

by morpheus71

A portal through the characterful sub-moorland River Erme coursing it's way through verdant woodlands, Upper Devonian slates and granite boulders.

Full of movement and urgency. I like it and I like the counterpoint of the still bit at the bottom
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Many thanks for your generous and considered comments 😊 It's a beautiful river, from the high moorland slopes to the coast at Mothecombe. The rapids, the waterfalls and tranquil pools with myriad revelations of the geomorphology of the ancient mountain building that occurred in this area 350 million years ago... much to inspire photographic studies😊

I love these trademark shots of yours, although it is full of movement still so restful and peaceful

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments Malc I do seem rather fond juxtapositions and transition zones in my photographic studies of the landscape
