Distant Mountains

Shaun Wilson has got me at it, uploading Scottish images has made me re-visit mine from last Winter!
This is Rannoch Moor, on a day when the light was truly sublime.

Ditto all the above - I especially can appreciate the wide and subtle range of tones in the sky. What is that star like effect emanating from the stone in the water? Is it a crack in the ice or a light reflection ?

Hi Nigel thanks for your comments, it's a crack in the ice which has a stone at its centre.

Thank you everyone, much appreciated.
I do like it Maria, although it's not one of my favourites from this particular location. I think my processing has improved a bit so I might re-do some other ones.

David
