Purple Haze

Blues, Purples and Greens dominate the wilder parts of the garden at this time of year - amongst them a single sweet pea has sprouted upwards and is picked out by the SMC Pentax M* 67 300mm at maximum aperture and with a short extension tube fitted (hence the vignetting).

The shallow depth of field enhances the out of focus effect of the other flora and captures the texture of the sweet pea petals.

Once again viewing at full size reveals so much more

The central (in focus) flower is stunningly sharp, and the fall off in focus is quite dramatic - all in a beautiful image
