Let Us Prey, and Let Us Pray

by go4IT

A most unusual situation on the roof of the apartment building opposite mine this afternoon. Who is going to make the first move? The Harrier Hawk or the pigeon? One is preying, the other praying. Finally, after several minutes, the pigeon dove toward the ground and the hawk was on it in a flash. They both disappeared around the corner of the building, leaving me hoping the pigeon escaped with its life. Hawks need to eat about 8 pigeons or the equivalent in mice, frogs etc. per day to survive, and young ones even more. That's a lot of motivation.

Well spotted and a great bit of story telling (visually and in text).
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Struggle for Life. We don't know what happened later. Pigeon Is dead and alive at same time: 50%....of chances. It teminds me of "Schroedinger cat". PS You caught and interesting Moment with an interesting story beyond. Great Pic.
