K-3, DFA 100mm F2.8 Macro, TC without glass
Again, quality. As Gray says, inspiring stuff.
Is this a crop? If so how much???
It has you in its sights David. Beware

Hi Tim, it is a crop, about 50% of the frame I would guess. It was shot with the DFA 100mm F2.8 WR macro with a short extension tube fitted to enable closer focus and greater magnification. The 'extension tube' is actually a 2x Teleconverter with the glass removed, I use this because it has the aperture contacts.
Best wishes
David
These close ups of yours with the narrow DoF is just so inspiring. Small subjects enhancing these achievements. Don't know how you do it really. I'm a point and shoot. Love the subtleties involved here.
Thanks Gray, this type of shot seems to divide opinion. The wisdom with macro is to use a narrower aperture for more DOF, but I like to experiment a bit. Sometimes the narrow DOF works, sometimes it doesn't. I'm not sure if it works on this one or not.
Regards
David
