Cloudy on Crete Senesi
by GIULIO57
It was raining when I looked at this landscape. Sun light passed through clouds drawing strange “coloured dots” onto the ground. Sometimes difficult conditions of weather or light give special photo-chances, I thought. In this area there are a lot of lonely country-houses atop hills. They mark this land. PENTAX LX on tripod and PENTAX Zoom lens 40-80 mm on 40 mm. Kodak Slide chrome 100 ISO set at 125. Epson scanner Perfection 3200.Manual Exposure. Mirror blocked-up.Date: Oct. 2th, 2012. f 5,6-Shutter Speed: 1/250sec.PS.This area is well known as Crete Senesi due to colour and compo of soil. Country road of Vitaleta

Fantastic colours , all layered wonderfully to meet the distant hills and moody sky. The whole image has an almost painted feel to it, the LX proving to still be a top film camera

Nice shot. The grain adds to the photograph.

A lovely scene and composition, the vertical frame works well to show off the house in the background.
