Hi Stephani i love the angle and the dull conditions have brought out the detail in the white, looks like an Arctic Poppy to me, but i could be wrong.

Would need a shot of the centre of the flower to be sure of identification. My hunch is with Maria's suggestion, but the stem and leaves suggest something other, and maybe a bush flower. Not sure. Is this a native to this country?
I like the use of light through the petals and the water droplets.

Thanks to all for your comments. I will post another shot or two showing other views. I live in northern California and believe it is one of our native plants. It's petals are thin and crinkly much like a hollyhock. It is a bush flower and the blooms are quite large.
