Merry X-Mas and Happy New Year to Members of PUG and PPG
by GIULIO57
First of all Merry X-Mas and Happy 2013 to All Members in PUG and PPG. This is a remake of a previous upload: Downhill Boulevard Revisited. I don’t like remakes and “repeat(s)” BUT when I took this photo (half-bottom left is the original) I had in my mind this final compo(without a comet). When I uploaded Downhill Boulevard on PUG and Gabor suggested me to follow this path. I reset my opinions about remakes and I started this project. SO THX A LOT GABOR!!!The original file has been reflected (flip-flop)in horizontal . Then I matched together the two “half-parts”(bottom left & bottom right to get the whole pine-tree) and last I added a new layer: blue sky with stars and comet. This layer is a digital photo, taken with my K20D, of a damaged paper background I used, (when child), as “sky” of “Presepe”(crib). A few retouches in CS5 and it came to a new life. This experiment is close to another one: Yellow Triangle already in PUG-PPG. For this reason I don’t like to repeat myself with the same workflows. Thanks for your attention and I hope you like it. Place: Monticchiello di Pienza-Tuscany-Italy. Camera: PENTAX K20D on tripod. Lens: PENTAX 55-300mm on 70 mm. F16; Shutter Speed: 1/10s. ISO speed: 100.Manual Exposure.PS Sorry for this Night-Design(atmosphere) I added later but I liked it!(For FANS of tech infos:Open File-Mode-Colour LAB-Imagine Apply-(set opacity 50%)-Blend Mode Multiply- then Colour RGB again-Save File). Total Layers 2: Landscape and Sky. About correction of foreground (a little bit overexposed in the original) I used a layer mask and set blend mode to Multiply then I lowered layer’s opacity to 70%.(Foreground’s differences between Downhill Bd and Downhill Bd Revisited).PS EXIF data don't appear after this processing but if you open previous uploads of Downhill Bd you'll read these techno infos.
