Mudflats of Weston Super Mare

When the tide goes out the mudflats are exposed, many people get trapped by the mud as they think they can get to the sea but the tide goes out for several miles and the mud is very sticky and can be several feet deep. For those who do get trapped are lucky as this part of the coast is covered by B.A.R.B who operate 2 rescue Hovercrafts. There are plenty of warning signs on the beaches telling people of the danger but you still get the idiots who choose to ignore the warnings. The Bristol Channel has the second highest rising tide in the world which has claimed many lives in the past.
