Stokesay from the Churchyard

First of a few test shots with my new K-3 today, please bear in mind it was semi-darkness when this was taken, so the recovery of details in shadow areas is quite impressive I think?

Just couldn't help yourself huh
Look forward to your findings, particularly vs K5iis and maybe even Puma's new toy?

Hi Sean, really too early to tell as I've only taken a few shots with it. It is clearly a lot faster than the K-5iis (both AF and image processing) and the increased level of detail is very obvious - this will be of benefit for crops as well as large prints. Dynamic range seems to be excellent and there is no noise apparent in long exposures. All good so far!
I suspect the K-5iis may be better for portraiture, as the K-3 is super-sharp and maybe just a tad too sharp for this type of work, but time will tell.
Also, the K-3 seems to have a warmer colour balance by default and tends to over-emphasise green tones so I'll have to be careful with this.
Cheers
David
