Blue Hour on The Strand, Liverpool
by newbiek50user
My first attempt at using an ND filter. The idea of photographing light trails came from the current assignment for the U3A photography Group I've started to attend. I turned up early with my new K3ii to prepare for the Blue Hour but I must have messed up my settings because having set (in Manual mode) 0.5", F11, ISO 100, MLOCKUP+Remote, Single, AF.S, when I pressed the remote button the red light just kept on flashing for several minutes before it displayed an underexposed image. After this happened a couple of times I abandoned the remote shutter, changed the drive setting and by now it was dark enough for a long exposure without the filter. I was bluer than the Hour. More practice needed!
