Thanks both: did you notice the sensitivity? ISO 3200. Unbelievable. I can take pictures with this camera I wouldn't consider with any other. Imagine what it could do in the hands of a good photographer...
Many of us consider you to be a good photographer Andrew. Yes the K5 does handle high ISO very well. My early efforts at high ISO (3200 ISO inside Durham Cathedral) with the K5 weren't very clever but that was down to the way I operated in Photoshop. I've got better since then.
Incidentally the K30 equals the K5 high ISO performance - not bad for a camera that is allegedly entry level.
