A Thoroughly Modern Dolittle

by Wildwood512

Doing candids one day on the beaches of Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA when I came across this lovely woman who enjoys interacting with the local birds by feeding them peanuts and popcorn. Though the lighting was way to contrasty to produce great technical shots, in my view, the moment was a must to capture.

Those NJ beaches are something again - and the one you've shown is crowded by comparison to some of them. You've captured a lovely moment there. And I like the inclusion of the bright parachute thing, which could so easily have been cropped out.

Very striking. The vivid colours remind me of Martin Parr's seaside pictures.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Andrew, I had never heard of Martin Parr so I looked him up and I love his work...vivid and quirky! Thanks for the compliment.
Cheers...Donna 😊

I love the eye contact she has with the bird and the happy expression on her face. The colours are amazing. Sally
