Steam success story

by davidtrout

Class 5 No. 5000, one of the first of more than 800 highly successful steam engines of this type built for the LMS and British Rail now displayed at Locomotion, the Railway Museum at Shildon Co Durham. From my latest visit there a couple of days ago.

Shildon is a great outpost with its own collection, some of which are nicely positioned, as you've shown David! You could title this 'a black and white 5'! Love it!
