Henry II's bedchamber at Dover
by PeterKR
The colours may seem very bright but apparently the bold fabric colours were expensive to achieve so this was a sign of wealth.
This shot was taken in The Kings Chamber.
K70 on 'P' mode with Sigma18-250.
Natural lighting, no flash and hand held.
Note the EXIF data ! The strange looking shutter speed was 1/15th s
I was extremely pleased both by the way the K70 has handled this challenge and how the Sigma lens has performed wide open..

If you ever get the chance to visit Dover Castle it is a MUST SEE place.
On this one large site there is history dating from many periods over the last 2500 years.
The story is well presented on display boards and video screens but you may have to wait till the numerous school parties have moved on before you can study the details ! However it is well worth the wait.
Unlike many places there is no restriction on photography so go well equiped and enjoy.
On a clear day you can also get a good view of the French coastline.
One warning - we spent over 6 hours there and still didn't see everything !
Best regards
Peter
