Colorful prairie

Pentax K 20D and SMC PENTAX Zoom 12-24mm set at 12mm. This is a picture of Piano Grande (Italy)and the small village atop hill (Castelluccio da Norcia) before earthquake that occurred in oct. 30th, 2016. That village was completely destroyed. It was the highest village in Italy because this is the highest plateau in Italy. This place is well known as Little Tibet. Red poppies and Yellow lentils. PS Five pics merged together in Photomatix.

Lovely shot Giulio and a nice explanation of what you have seen.
Looks so idyllic...hard to imagine an earthquake striking there. Such strong , vibrant colours really stand out and great composition.
I really like it.

Thank you Karlo for your well appreciated words. Idyllic...right Word to describe my soul when I edited that file Just a few days ago. I did several attempts processing single files but at each time I was not glad of atmosphere. So I grave to HDR a chance using my fav software PMatix. Bad results when trying in Photographic, Balanced, Soft, Smooth, Natural presets...I don't like grunge style so I didn't go into that Path. Painterly2 gave the Mood you look at and detail enhacer made the rest without further useless efforts. Brightness of the whole scenery had its highest level when working in HDR painterly2. I set sliders of saturation, Shadow and light smothness at normal levels for my taste....so to remind me of the beautiful light and vivid colors I watched when taking pics. The whole picture could appear fake...I'm aware of this troubles when using HDR...but strange to Say for me....this time I'm almost satisfied of final results.
