Steam and sunshine

Early morning on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Battle of Britain Class loco 34081 '92 Squadron' sets out from Grosmont.
Taken on my K5 with the 18-55mm kit lens that came bundled with my K3 when I bought it some years ago. This was the first outing for the lens as my DA*16-50 auto focus is playing up.

Lovely image David and lens has done a great job.

I may bring my 18-55 back into service too as my Sigma 17-70 broke whilst on holiday (zoom mechanism bust).

The POV and light quality are praiseworthy. Love the diagonals and eyeballs "aimed" to left side of frame. In the right hands, this oft-demeaned lens can deliver quality photos.
