Northern Greece or Somerset?

The phone reception was so poor people were unable to download and use the app needed to pay to park!
As there wasn't a cash/card option we decided to drive on rather than risk a ticket...as did others.

A prime example of a local tourist industry 'shooting itself in the foot'.

I'll guess at Cheddar Gorge?
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Yup I've seen elderly folks shouting at the machines when that sort of thing happens.

And you'd be right...really did look like it could be somewhere in southern Europe though.

Yeah...felt sorry for one couple in their sixties from Greater Manchester we got chatting to...they had left Cambridge earlier that morning with their grandchildren to visit the area..had paid over £80 at the booking kiosk at the bottom of the hill on edge of the town...had then driven up into the Gorge to park to be faced with position i've described...they didn't know what to do...and hardly any parking in Cheddar itself to go back to try and sort things out.

We decided to get back on the road and spent a few hours in Weston-super Mare instead and had a very nice Cream Tea in The Blitz tearoom .
