'I Can See You'
Took a few images of this squirrel from inside the house before it spotted me.
Taken through the glass on a patio door...was quite pleased with the overall result as I was about 6' or so away from the glass at the time.

If it will come that close, clean the window carefully and throw a few peanuts down for it. They become remarkably tame quite quickly.

Might give it a go over the next few weeks when nature starts to 'wake up'.
They are naturally very wary i've found but it might work.
